Living Legends Gala 2024
The Living Legends Gala is an exceptional evening of elegance and celebration in honor some of our nation’s most prominent leaders in healthcare. This celebration will befittingly pay tribute to these distinguished honorees for their outstanding contributions in medicine, dentistry, pharmacy and improving diversity in healthcare. The 2024 Living Legends Gala will honor Dr. Harold Jordan, ‘58, well known Psychiatrist, former Dept Chair at Meharry Medical College and the first black resident at Vanderbilt Medical Center and Dr. Willie Underwood III, ‘88, an accomplished Urologist, researcher and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the American Medical Association.
Our Black-tie tribute celebrating African-American achievement will serve as a successful event supporting student scholarships and programming for the Thomas J. Blocker Society Foundation. To date, thanks to the investment of alumni and corporate sponsors like you, our Society has grossed more than $1,000,000 with net proceeds benefiting the Blocker Society programming and the Morehouse College Office of Health Professions.
On Saturday, September 28, 2024, Thomas J. Blocker Society will continue the excellence of its extraordinary alumni leaders through honoring trailblazers within our community. This year’s gala will be held at the luxurious Loews Atlanta Hotel. The VIP Reception commences at 6:00 p.m. with the Gala following at 7:30 p.m. We hope that you will join us!
